Palo Alto, California —— Braden Bishop is at it again.

The reigning Baseball Census Minor League Baseball Player of the Year for 2017, the Seattle Mariners outfielder had hinted to us a few weeks ago that his offseason was going to be marked by an even bigger push out into the community beyond his already impressive work on behalf of Alzheimer’s disease research funding — and now, it looks like that activist push is here.

Earlier this week, Braden Bishop and his foundation fighting Alzheimer’s, 4MOM, announced a partnership with Progressive Motion Physical Therapy in northern California to host the 1st Annual Toy Drive benefitting the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford.

The toy drive itself will take place in Menlo Park, California, on Monday, December 18th — anyone in the area on Monday is welcome to show up that day to Progressive Motion Physical Therapy Clinic at 3475 Edison Way, Suite H in Menlo Park with new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages that will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Palo Alto.

If you’re not in the area, though, you can still get involved — the Seattle Mariners prospect and his fundraising partners have created a GoFundMe page to raise money from all around the world from those wishing to help the toy drive even if they’re far from the Bay Area. All of the donations taken from their GoFundMe fundraiser will be used towards purchasing toys for the drive benefitting Ronald McDonald House. Their initial $500 goal was surpassed in less than two days, and all surplus will still be put towards the toy drive.

If you are so moved, you can donate money to the toy drive via their GoFundMe page by clicking here.

Here’s a little more information via video from Braden Bishop himself, if you can’t make the toy drive but still want to participate by giving online:

(If Twitter isn’t your thing, there’s more information here from their Facebook page, too.)

As if Braden Bishop hadn’t already been doing enough out in the community this year, a holiday toy drive seems like a good way to end what wound up being a remarkable year for the Seattle Mariners prospect, both personally and professionally.

Speaking of ways to wrap up the year, we can now wrap up the stellar on-field performance of Braden Bishop in 2017, too; brand new tonight on our YouTube channel, we just posted the outfielder’s full Arizona Fall League video, capturing more than a dozen of his at-bats from multiple different AFL games while playing for the Peoria Javelinas over the last two months.

You can watch that video here:

A reminder if you’re new around here: now’s a great time to click here and subscribe to our YouTube channel, too.

Not only do we have seven different Braden Bishop videos up from the last two years so you can see all the ways in which his swing has changed and developed into what it is today, we also have clips of now more than 1,000 different baseball prospects from all 30 Major League organizations and a growing number of southern California college programs. We add 5-10 new prospect videos, all in full HD and most with multiple angles of game action, every single day.

Enjoy! (And more importantly, donate to Bishop’s toy drive if you’re so inclined — a worthy, easy cause to get behind during this holiday season.)
