Just one day after we posted our schedule online publicly for anyone to see, it’s already changed. We’re out in Montgomery, Alabama this week, ostensibly to scout the Auburn University at Montgomery Fall JuCo Classic for the next few days, where we’ve been planning on seeing eight JuCo programs from Alabama and Georgia.
Now, at least some of that has been put on hold as we’ve just received word that Day One (Tuesday) of the Classic has been preemptively canceled due to inclement weather. The forecast looks a little worse for Day Two on Wednesday, unfortunately, so we may be completely out of luck down here in Alabama this year, but regardless, there’s not much we can do about it.
As a last-minute replacement though (weather-permitting!) we’ll spend Tuesday out in Carrollton, Georgia to see a doubleheader between West Georgia Tech and Gordon State College. Hopefully we can at least get something out of this trip back east before we head to Illinois for a separate JuCo showcase that’ll take place over the weekend.
And if the weather really doesn’t cooperate, well, we’ve still got more than 30 scouting reports with video to add from our time out at Long Beach City College for a few days late last week. Keep your eyes on the site for those scouting reports to go up across the next several days — and sooner than that if, well, if the rain just can’t seem to cooperate. And remember: aside from a few notes we’ll share here on the blog, all those reports will be posted behind the paywall, so please click here and subscribe if you’re looking for access there.
For more junior college baseball scouting content…
Baseball Census is an independent, subscription-based website that exclusively scouts junior college baseball prospects. Our work is specifically designed for four-year (NCAA and NAIA) college baseball coaches and recruiting coordinators. Every day, year-round, we publish new scouting reports for coaches seeking objective, reliable prospect notes, data, and high-definition game video on thousands of potential junior college baseball recruits.
And while we do share a certain low level of free scouting content here on our blog for all to see, four-year college baseball coaches and recruiting coordinators are highly encouraged to get the most out of our website as a recruiting resource by purchasing a subscription plan. You can view plans and learn more about that by clicking the button here:
Even without a show of your support via subscription, there are still other easy things you can do that will support us, and help us grow. The simplest way to do that is by following us and sharing our content on several social media platforms, all listed below:
