Montgomery, Ala. —— In an unfortunate repeat from yesterday, Auburn University at Montgomery‘s Capital City JuCo Fall Baseball Classic was once against postponed on Wednesday, with all four scheduled games canceled due to inclement weather. Luckily, the AUM coaching staff set up a deal where several junior college baseball programs that had been canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday will now show up on campus for a four-game set next Monday that’ll help make up for some of the rainouts.
Regrettably, we won’t be there for it; we’ve got a JuCo Showcase commitment in Springfield, Illinois this weekend at an event jointly hosted by the University of Illinois, Springfield and Lincoln Land Community College. Weather permitting (and the forecasts look great!) we should be seeing up to 15 games with several dozen JuCo teams participating throughout the weekend.
We’ll have plenty of game notes and hundreds of prospect scouting reports dredged up very soon from that event. This week, we’ll also begin to post full scouting reports from our fall scrimmage observations back in California with Long Beach City College the last two weeks. Stay tuned to this space for more on that front.
As for AUM… we hope things go off without a hitch the rest of the week. We’ll be back next year, hopefully with clear skies, to try again to scout some Alabama, Georgia, and Florida junior college prospects!
For more junior college baseball scouting content…
Baseball Census is an independent, subscription-based website that exclusively scouts junior college baseball prospects. Our work is specifically designed for four-year (NCAA and NAIA) college baseball coaches and recruiting coordinators. Every day, year-round, we publish new scouting reports for coaches seeking objective, reliable prospect notes, data, and high-definition game video on thousands of potential junior college baseball recruits.
And while we do share a certain low level of free scouting content here on our blog for all to see, four-year college baseball coaches and recruiting coordinators are highly encouraged to get the most out of our website as a recruiting resource by purchasing a subscription plan. You can view plans and learn more about that by clicking the button here:
